    Storage Competency

    Dell’s Storage Competency provides the training you need to become successful selling Dell Storage. It includes training on tools that give you a competitive advantage in the sales process such as custom storage assessments for your customers, sizing and TCO tools, and remote demo capabilities. With three technical tracks to choose from, Dell’s Storage Competency delivers information on the entire Dell Storage Portfolio, while also allowing you to focus on the storage platform most appropriate for your customer base – SC or PS/MD or Software Defined Storage.

    To meet the competency requirement for Storage

    • At Preferred level, 4 unique individuals (two sales, two technical) must complete all of the required sales or technical courses

    Networking Competency

Upon completing the requirements of this competency, you should have the knowledge necessary to help your customers deploy standards-based, highly scalable, and cost effective networks.

    PS Series Storage Deployment Competency

    With a Deployment Services Competency, partners have greater expertise, accuracy and efficiency with their storage and networking deployments. Partners with Certified Deployment Professionals gain access to exclusive Dell tools, best practices, and the latest critical technical updates for richer deployment capabilities. This allows partners to expand reach, grow deployment opportunities and increase revenue. We offer three Deployment Services Certifications and Competencies: SC Series Storage, PS Series Storage, and Networking

    To meet the competency requirement for PS Series Storage Deployment

    • Partner company must hold Premier or Preferred level
    • Partner company must hold a Storage Product Competency
    • 2 unique individuals must complete and pass and Individual Dell PS Series Storage Professional Deployment Exam through Pearson VUE
    • Partner company must sign a Deployment Agreement and be approved by Dell

The competency will help you to uncover opportunities and position Dell's client solutions portfolio — including laptops, desktops and mobile — as having outstanding reliability and being the most secure and most manageable in the industry.

    To meet the competency requirement for Core Client Solutions

    Workstations

    Workstation Competency

    With a Workstation Competency, you will become your customers' trusted advisor, knowing that you can confidently educate and recommend Dell's Workstation product family as outstandingly reliable and able to deliver fast results in your customers' performance environments. With this competency, you will deepen your knowledge of the Dell Precision tower, mobile and rack series workstations, as well as complementary software, peripherals and services.

    Dell is proud to announce that the Big Data and Analytics (BD&A) solutions competency will be launched in the near future. With this competency you will learn about Dell’s comprehensive, end-to-end portfolio of BD&A solutions that will help your customer build competitive advantage. At this time we would like to offer you an access to a number of courses that will potentially be part of the competency. We are also offering a pilot of this competency for select partners so if you are interested to participate in a pilot and to learn more about Dell’s BD&A solutions plan, please contact Mayank Mishra.


    Cloud

    Cloud Solutions Competency

    Dell recently launched an industry-leading Hybrid Cloud Solution based on Microsoft CPS standard called DHCS – Dell Hybrid Cloud Solution. The course materials available for DHCS will equip our partners to sell this solution while Dell will do the integration and deployment.     Dell Network Security solutions, which feature the award-winning Dell SonicWALL products, help your customers secure their networks while sustaining performance and simplifying management.

    To meet the competency requirement for Network Security Solution

    • At Preferred level, 1 unique individual must complete CSSA Certification
    • At Premier level, 2 unique individuals must complete CSSP Certification
    • No course completion is Required but highly Recommended

    Deployment Services Certification

    Individuals who successfully complete a Deployment Services Certification learning path will have increased knowledge of Dell’s best practices for deployment installation and planning. After passing an exam they will earn the industry recognized distinction of “Certified Deployment Professional”.

    Features:

    • Recommended instructor led training
    • Certification is valid for 2 years

    There are three certification paths available: SC Series Storage, PS Series Storage and N&S Series Networking. Each path has recommended training courses for individuals who are preparing to take the Deployment Services Certification exam(s) to earn certification.
